
Andrea Bennett Xiong
Andrea Bennett Xiong holds a B.A. in Humanities from Denison University, an M.A. in Human Resources from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and a Certificate in Policy Issues on Work and Pay. Professionally she has worked in the private sector, public schools, and currently is self-employed as a Health and Wellness Consultant and Motivational Speaker.
As an abuse survivor herself, Andrea’s life purpose is to educate and empower future generations to break the cycle of domestic violence. For two decades she has spread the message of her platform, “Love is Not Abuse-Be the Light” (Dating and Domestic Violence Prevention and Education). She stresses that when we promote healthy relationships we can build more violence-free communities.
Andrea is an accomplished artist and activist in her community. She recently received the Hmong Women Champion Award for her advocacy work in MN and beyond. She lives in Woodbury, Minnesota with her husband, Tou Ger Bennett Xiong, and their “fur babies,” a Chihuahua –Abbey and Cat-Lucky. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, singing professionally, karaoke, and impersonating Disney and other children’s characters.
