Amanda Athayde—formerly Mrs. Orono—was crowned Mrs. Minnesota American 2025 on Sunday, June 8, 2025. She was further honored with the title of Most Photogenic, a testament to her radiant presence and poise. Amanda is deeply humbled and proud to represent the great state of Minnesota on the national stage.
Amanda currently resides in Orono with her husband, Felipe Athayde, and their three amazing and energetic children. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Amanda has called Minnesota home for over two decades and is proud to be part of such a vibrant and welcoming community.
A woman of diverse talents and passions, Amanda is an accomplished pianist, world traveler, culinary connoisseur and dedicated fitness enthusiast. In addition to her personal pursuits, Amanda is the founder and owner of Deer Hill Legal & Mediation, and holds both a Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Minnesota.
Amanda’s platform is centered on the empowerment of entrepreneurship, with a focus on championing small and local businesses—the heartbeat of our economy and communities. She is a passionate advocate for their growth and sustainability, believing wholeheartedly in their power to drive innovation and opportunity. Amanda also generously dedicates her time to volunteering within her church and at her children’s school in Orono.
Amanda will represent Minnesota at the National Mrs. American Pageant in Las Vegas on August 26, 2025, competing in the categories of Interview, Physical Fitness, State Costume, Evening Gown, and Onstage Question. The Mrs. American Pageant, a prestigious celebration of accomplished and multifaceted married women, offers its winner the extraordinary opportunity to compete on the global stage at Mrs. World.
